Emotions -“Get A Handle On Them”

emotions1

Many in life are not on their mountain top and others are stagnated because they

have not gotten a handle on controlling their emotions. Let that not be said of us.

God created us with emotions and everything He created, He created good!

What are emotions? E-motion. to move out.

Emotions – strong feelings that are designed to move you in one direction or another.

Emotions are feelings caused by pain or pleasure that will move you in a certain direction.

Emotions -a  person’s response to life’s situations.

Uncontrolled Emotions can affect one’s life and the life of their loved ones.

God has given us authority over everything in the world including our emotions.

God has given us:

  • Mind-all conscious and subconscious activity of the brain and central nervous system that directs the mental and physical behavior of our life.
  • Will- mental faculty by which one chooses or decides a course of action.
  • Emotions- part of consciousness that involves feeling or sensibility.

Feelings on the inside, caused by pain or pleasure, trying to move you in one direction or another.

  • Intellect – capacity for understanding; ability to think abstractly and profoundly.
  • Imagination- the power of the mind to form a mental image or concept of something.

How To Control Our Emotions ( Not suppress emotions)

  1. Do not try to control your emotions in your own strength- ask God for his help. God is a wonderful helper.  Matthew 7:7, Psalm 123
  2. Be honest with yourself in how you feel about self, situation, other party.
  1. Articulate how and why you feel a certain way.
  2. Nobody is worth you losing your glorious destiny by holding a grudge or not letting go of an offense.
  3. Let the Word of God be the deciding factor in life’s situations.

“Believe To See”

Whatever you do concerning your life, marriage, family, loved ones, career, your business, ministry- do not stop believing. It is always to soon to quit, to turn coward, faint, and give up. Simply because what you see is subject to change.

The psalmist stated in Psalm 27:13-14

I would have lost heart, unless I had believed That I would see the goodness of the Lord In the land of the living.14 Wait on the Lord; Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the Lord!

Mark 9:23

“If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.”

So that clearly let you and I know that what God want to do in our life is based on our capacity to believe.

What may seemingly may be impossible for others can be possible for you if you choose to believe. To believe in someone or something is an act of your will. Also to believe means to accept something as truth without any sense realm evidence

Keep in mind:

It will not happen just because I believe – but it won’t happen unless I believe

My  three question to you is..

What is that you desire? What are you going to do? When are you going to do it?

Luke 1:45

Blessed is she who believed, for there will be a fulfillment of those things which were told her from the Lord.”

I am praying what you read inspired you to use your God given gifts and fulfill the assignment that God has placed in your heart.

Life is Amazing

mountains

Life is meant to be amazing.  Life is God’s gift to mankind. Your life should not be boring.  One should not live there life complaining about unpleasant situations that one may face.

There are new adventures to experience everyday of your life. Every season in your life is a new adventure.Throughout God’s Word you will find the word “new” being used. For example in Lamentations 3:22-23 – It is the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassion’s fail not.” They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.

Psalms 40:1-3  I waited patiently for the Lord; And He inclined to me,
And heard my cry.He also brought me up out of a horrible pit,
Out of the miry clay, And set my feet upon a rock, And established my steps.
He has put a new song in my mouthPraise to our God;Many will see it and fear,
And will trust in the Lord.

Your Amazing Life begins when we choose to believe God with all of our heart, mind, strength, and continue to live like that. Knowing that we are not victims but we have the victory because of what we choose to believe and appropriate in our life.

Knowing this we are never in a less than position, no matter what we face, because of God’s love for us and toward us. Once we believe that we can know with all assurance all things will work together to those who love God and called according to His purpose.

Let each day become an amazing adventure.
