Spiritual Warfare, Pt. II

maxresdefault

Spiritual Warfare is conflict being waged in the invisible spiritual realm that is
being manifested in the physical realm.

Spiritual warfare is more than binding the enemy in Jesus name. It is forgiving those who oppose you, offend, hurt, or persecute you. Also it involves forgiving, blessing others and trusting God to avenge you.

I Timothy 1:18
This charge I commit to you, son Timothy, according to the prophecies
previously made concerning you, that by them you may wage the good warfare.

II Timothy 2:2-4
And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also. 3 You therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. 4 No one engaged in warfare entangles himself with the affairs of this life, that he may please him who enlisted him as a soldier.

II Corinthians 10:3-5
For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. 4 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, 5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, 6 and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled.

Spiritual Warfare In The Garden – Genesis 3:1-6
Eve has a conversation with Satan through the serpent on his terms.
Satan through questions trapped Eve to doubt God’s character of his goodness.
Then Eve eventually doubted and denied God’s Word .

The stage was set for Eve at that point.
1. She yielded to her imagination
2. She willfully disobeys God.
3. She leads Adam to join her.

To obtain victory in any war a strategy is needed. You will need a strategy that will
enable you to engage and be effective in Spiritual Warfare.

Definition:
Strategy is the systematic arrangement of independent plans working in harmony
with each other, to accomplish a predetermined objective.

II Timothy 2:1-4, Ephesians 6:10-17, II Corinthians 10:3-5
• Christ the Head of the Church
• Know Your Enemy
• Goal of the Enemy: Glory Matt. 4:8-9; Isaiah 48:11; I Cor. 10:31; Col. 3:23
• Mission of the Enemy: John 10:10
• Strategy of the Enemy: II Cor. 2:11; II Cor. 11:3; John 8:44; Rev. 12:9
• When fighting your spiritual enemy you need spiritual weapons.

Weapons of Warfare
• Sword of the spirit (Word of God)
• Obedience (Logos/Rhema)
• Prayer
• Fasting
• Praise & Worship
• Faith in the Blood of Jesus
• Faith in the Name of Jesus
• Praying in the Spirit
• The Anointing Oil
• Communion

MANHOOD

real-man
What is manhood? I looked at several dictionaries and the definitions that described manhood is as follows:
The word manhood describes both the adult period in a male human’s life, and the qualities that make him a man.
The state of one who is a man, of an adult male, or one who is advanced beyond puberty, boyhood or childhood; the qualities of a man; courage; bravery; resolution.
King David in the Bible before he died was giving his son a charge about being a man and some specific instructions to go along with.
I Kings 2:1-3(King James Version)
Now the days of David drew nigh that he should die; and he charged Solomon his son, saying,
I go the way of all the earth: be thou strong therefore, and shew thyself a man;
And keep the charge of the LORD thy God, to walk in his ways, to keep his statutes, and his commandments, and his judgments, and his testimonies, as it is written in the law of Moses, that thou mayest prosper in all that thou doest, and whithersoever thou turnest thyself:
I observed in these few verses he clearly communicated what a man is suppose to be and do. David even went as far as letting him know that he will prosper as a result of doing what he shared.
In I Corinthians 13 what many call the “love chapter” I like what verse 11 instructs us to do if we are going to love people on a adult level.
When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.

I want to share an acronym for MANHOOD.

James 1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
N- Nice and Kind. King David was a warrior in battle yet he was still kind.
II Samuel 9:3
And the king said, Is there not yet any of the house of Saul, that I may shew the kindness of God unto him? And Ziba said unto the king, Jonathan hath yet a son, which is lame on his feet.
II Samuel 9:7
And David said unto him, Fear not: for I will surely shew thee kindness for Jonathan thy father’s sake, and will restore thee all the land of Saul thy father; and thou shalt eat bread at my table continually.

Ephesians 4:32
And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.
H- Heart that has been touched and impacted by God. One who has received God’s love and not afraid to share that love with others.
I Samuel 10:26
And Saul also went home to Gibeah; and there went with him a band of men, whose hearts God had touched.
O -Overcoming Obstacles, hurt, offenses, setbacks, failure, fear, doubt, disappointment, unbelief through faith in God.
I John 5:4
For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.

Grace For Greatness

96-great-atmosphere-greatness-is-for-all-of-us-notes-quote

Everyone needs the grace of God in order to live a life of fulfillment free from failure and frustration. Grace has been made available for everyone.
It is first mentioned in the Old Testament of the Bible
Genesis 6:8
But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.

There was a flood of waters that were to be released on the earth. God instructed Noah to build and ark for himself, family, and for each pair of animals that was going to be protected in the Ark. Genesis 6:17, 7:23
Noah was graced not to be overcome by the flood as he followed the instructions of the Lord.

You might be experiencing a type of Flood in your life, no peace in the home; the business not prospering; wrong relationships- repeatedly; Student- struggling to obtain academic success;
Yet the grace of God is available to bring you salvation from despair and destruction and give you a bright future in your life, home, business, education, and in your relationships.

It is vital to accept and appreciate what has been offered to you.
It is what you appreciate that has the capacity to appreciate your life.
What you despise leads to depreciation. Prov. 13:13;

What is Grace? – God’s unmerited love and favor
Grace is a God given ability to fulfill your assignment in the earth through the gifts, talents, and abilities that were given to you.

John 1:17

For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.
God is the source of grace and it come through Jesus Christ.

God is the giver of good gifts. God gave grace to you with the gifts He has given you . You can discover your area of giftedness because it is usually in the context of what comes seemingly naturally or effortlessly to you. As you develop that gift the greatness that is inside of you will be manifested for the world to see.

James 1:17

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

How To Access The Grace Of God To Yield A Great Harvest of Blessing

1. Faith is the master key to access the Grace of God Romans 5:1-2
Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: 2 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
Grace can only be accessed when faith is present.
In order to enjoy and manifest the grace then having faith is a must.
Faith is my substance of things hoped for (earnestly expected =target)
Faith can only produce when it has a target. The target is grace

2. Humility James 4:6,10
But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.

Humility is submitting your way of thinking and doing under God’s way of doing. A humble person says I am going to do what God says to do and God will give me the grace to do it. Also knowing that God is going to lift me out of my situation.

3.Operating in your area giftedness. Ephesians 4:7
But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.

Three Benefits of Grace
1. Great destinies are fulfilled. I Corinthians 15:9-10
God’s grace is required and is enough to make you become who and what God created us to become. Constantly acknowledge, appreciate, and attribute everything to the grace of God and never to your expertise.

2. Grace makes the impossible become possible. Genesis 6:14,15; 7:1-9
Noah received strength and ability to do the naturally impossible, because he found grace in the sight of God.

3. Grace delivers you from the floods of life. Genesis 6:7-8, 17
Failure, fear, sickness, poverty, represent the floods of life. Do not put
your trust in all your strength, because the arm of flesh will fail you, but put your trust in the grace of God and you will not be disappointed.

Grace has already been made available and is waiting for you.
Pray and receive a fresh grace for your daily assignment and calling in life.

Hebrew 4:16
Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

I hope this blog can serve as the wind beneath your wings so you will soar like never before because you are born to do great things.

Knowing Your Identity

identity-in-christ
What is your Personal Identity? Why Is It Important?

Your personal identity is the way that you see yourself and is closely related to your self image. It is very important to you because it will affect the way you feel about yourself and how you behave in challenging situations.

Once you understand who and what you are and what values you hold dear you will be able to make better decisions which move you closer to where you want to be.
I believe that your self esteem depends on you being yourself and if you live true to your nature and values you will help yourself . Often we go after things that we persuaded ourselves will be good for us. Ignoring who you are is a recipe for pain and misery. Follow your personal identity and let it guide you to a better place.
Who are you? What makes you unique? What are your values? What do you think you look like to those who observe you? What is your internal identity? Who do you think you are in terms of your personality, character, and values? How do you view yourself in relation to others? What are your personal goals?
The most important thing to realize about your personal identity is that it can be close to how other people see you in which case you will be at harmony with the world and others around you.
However, how you see yourself can be very different from how others see you and so you may feel you are misunderstood. Therefore you will struggle and feel a battle to make others appreciate who you are. One of the biggest problems people have with their personal identity is that they may not accept or may be blind to who they are and what they believe.
People have a tendency to have a challenge with their true identity because society seems to want us to behave and live in ways which may not be exactly what we want.
It is very important we get our identity from the source who made us. God created us. So we have to go to God and His Word to embrace our natural and spiritual identity.

God made us in his image and after his likeness. Gen. 1:26-28 God changed Abrams name and told him who he was. He went from Abram to Abraham. Your name is a part of your identity and your function in life.
Genesis 1:26-28 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
Image- it means copy.

Likeness- shape, form, figure, or pattern. To be or act like, to resemble.

Genesis 1:27-28 So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. 28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
I am blessed. I am empowered to succeed and not fail.
I am fruitful. Fruitful- productive. Abounding in anything.
I replenish. – to stock with numbers or abundance.
Dominion- to tread down, prevail, or to rule. Our purpose is to have rulership, authority, and leadership over the earth.

You are not made to be a victim but you are victorious over every situation you face in life. You are a leader by design. You are a leader by nature.

Spiritual Warfare

maxresdefault

Natural wars require the need for natural weapons and proper use of them in order to
defeat your enemy. Spiritual wars or spiritual battles will require spiritual weapons
the proper use of them to defeat your enemy.

Spiritual Warfare is real. The victory is guaranteed. God will always lead us to triumph as we listen to His Word, and follow the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

The scripture states, Now thanks be unto God, which always causes us to triumph in
Christ, and make manifest the savor of his knowledge by us in every place. II Corinthians 2:14

The fact that God causes us to triumph means there is something to triumph over. The triumph comes after hard fighting and one contenders emerges victorious. You must know that you are in a war.

The devil want to keep people blinded to the truth from and identifying him as your enemy. If you are born again, God is your Heavenly Father and the devil is your enemy.

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. I Peter 5:8

Howbeit when He the Spirit of Truth come, he will guide us into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself ; but whatsoever He hear, that shall He speak: and He will you things to come. John 16:13 (KJV).

You do not have to feel helpless or hopeless. Neither do you have to watch and allow
devil to run havoc with your life, marriage, family, business, church, or community.

There are times when you petition God for specific needs to be met which is called prayer of petition. Another category is called Devotional Prayer. I like to call that Relationship Building Prayer.

There is Intercessory Prayer which focus on praying for others. Intercessory Prayer is spiritual warfare. The enemy will try to hold onto those whom he deceives with everything within him. He will not give up easily, but he has no choice if you decide have the determination to pay or pray the price for your loved ones salvation, healing, deliverance, breakthrough, or miracle.

The Apostle Paul speaks like a parent who is pleading for a child/children who is not
walking with the Lord. Paul speaks of the type of prayer he must do for their growth
and maturity to take place in their life.

Galatians 4:19
My little children, of whom I travail in birth again that Christ be formed in you. The
word “travail” means to toil, to extend much strength to the point of fatigue; to give
birth;

The message translation states: Do you know how I feel right now, and will feel unto
Christ’s life become visible in your lives? Like a mother in pain of child birth.
God has given us the Holy Spirit and weapons in His Word to help us effectively
engage in spiritual warfare.

Likewise the Spirit also helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what we
should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us
with groanings which cannot be uttered. Romans 8:26

The enemy cannot win when it comes to the Holy Spirit helping us intercede.
Although you may be in a spiritual battle for your loved ones- I declare your
victory! It is always too soon to quit. Outlast your adversary. Refuse to give up.

The price of victory is worth it for your loved ones. We already have the victory!

Prince of Peace

peace-in-jesus-name_std_t_nv

Do you know the Prince of Peace? There are so many things in a given day that can rob you of your peace. To know there is someone you can go to and can give you reassurance and direction in those moments is priceless. I can think of many times in life where I was feeling edgy, fearful, or uncertain about a particular thing and getting a Word of peace made all the difference.

What is peace? It is freedom from disturbance or agitation; as from fear, terror, anger, anxiety or the like; quietness of mind; calmness; quiet of conscience.
Have you heard people say it is not only what you know but who you know? Well I want to invite you into having close relationship with Jesus because He is the Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6 states For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God,Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

God desires you to walk in abiding peace throughout your entire day. Could you imagine that 24/7 at work, school, home and where ever you go His peace is with you.
If you praying about a particular thing and you are not for sure if you should take action or not, let the peace of Christ become your guide. Let it help settle issues. If you start to take that action and realize you don’t have any peace about it, don’t do it. Your sense of uneasiness can be a warning sign that you need to pay attention to.

Colossians 3:15

And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.

Let the peace of Christ [the inner calm of one who walks daily with Him] be the controlling factor in your hearts [deciding and settling questions that arise]. To this peace indeed you were called as members in one body [of believers]. And be thankful [to God always]. Colossians 3:15 Amplified Bible

If you maintain a thankful and grateful heart you will find it much easier to hear the umpire of peace when He makes that call.

Isaiah 26:3

You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You,
Because he trusts in You.

Psalms 119:165

Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them.

Living A Thankful Life

thankful
We often think of being thankful as something of the past which is good and right to do. However, being thankful should be broader than the past blessings in order to get the full benefit of being and living a thankful life.
To become a thankful person it must first have its root inside of your heart before it can bear fruit on the outside.
Being thankful is a expression of gratitude. It is an acknowledgement of a kind act, service rendered, or assistance from another.
Giving of thanks is an attitude of appreciation and gratitude to God for something received from Him or for what He has done for you or a loved one.
When I think of giving of thanks I think of it in three tenses. The past, present, and future tense.
Psalms 116:12 What shall I render to the LORD
For all His benefits toward me?
I thank my God always concerning you for the grace of God which was given to you by Christ Jesus,
Present Tense: I notice that Jesus gave thanks before the blessing or miracle happened. I decided to start giving God thanks before the answered prayer and I began to experience acceleration of prayers being answered.

John 6:10-12
Then Jesus said, “Make the people sit down.” Now there was much grass in the place. So the men sat down, in number about five thousand. 11 And Jesus took the loaves, and when He had given thanks He distributed them to the disciples, and the disciples to those sitting down; and likewise of the fish, as much as they wanted. 12 So when they were filled, He said to His disciples, “Gather up the fragments that remain, so that nothing is lost.”
John 11:41-42 Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead man was lying. And Jesus lifted up His eyes and said, “Father, I thank You that You have heard Me. 42 And I know that You always hear Me, but because of the people who are standing by I said this, that they may believe that You sent Me.”
Let thanksgiving fill your prayers with faith. Philippians 4:6-7
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Future Tense: Psalms 116:17
I will offer to You the sacrifice of thanksgiving,
And will call upon the name of the LORD.
Every kind act of love that God shows towards you He waits for the acknowledgment from you. There were ten lepers that Jesus healed. Out of that ten only one came back to say “thank you”. Jesus asked the question where are the nine? Luke 17:12-19

Luke 17:16-17
And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, returned, and with a loud voice glorified God, 16 and fell down on his face at His feet, giving Him thanks. And he was a Samaritan.
17 So Jesus answered and said, “Were there not ten cleansed? But where are the nine? 18 Were there not any found who returned to give glory to God except this foreigner?” 19 And He said to him, “Arise, go your way. Your faith has made you well.”
At every point in your life learn to say thank you. At every turn or event pause to give God thanks.
I Thessalonians 5:17
In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
In every situation give God thanks. You are not giving thanks for the crisis but in the midst of the crisis you can give God thanks. Because God is with you in the midst of your struggle, challenge or crisis.
In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
Just reflect over your life and see how much you have not acknowledged God. The mercies of God have kept you alive, protected you from road accidents, etc.
If you lost anything God is the reason you did not lose everything! Do not let your needs blind you to what God has done for you. Always take a stock of God’s daily blessings and goodness toward you. Write them down and give God thanks.
Thank Him, if not for what He did in your life, at least for what you heard or seen God do in someone else’s life. What God has done is a proof bigger than your need. Let giving of thanks become the order of your day and see your life become more colorful and bright.
