Awesome is who you are independent of your short comings, failures, performance, and how you see yourself. I stated that because you are fearfully and wonderfully made. You and I have been made in God’s image. Genesis 1:26-28
And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
27 So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.
I did a word study on both of those words and I discovered some amazing things. The insight I received can inspire in ways that perhaps you have not thought of prior to reading this blog.
Image– reflection of, mirror image, true copy, spirit form (John 4:24)
Likeness– possess the quality and nature of, shape, form, to resemble, figure, or pattern, to walk in like character, made to operate and function in like fashion
28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
Blessed – empower to succeed. We have been designed to be winners in life.
Fruitful- productive and abounding. We have been engineered to live profitable lives.
Multiply-to double, to increase in number.
Replenish – to stock with numbers or abundance. To finish or complete. We have not been made for lack.
Subdue- to conquer, to overcome. Whatever obstacle, crisis, or setback we have encountered we can conquer it one day at a time and one step at a time with God. Luke 1:37
Dominion- to rule, to govern, to manage. We have been designed to reign over the earth realm. (Over circumstances and situations.)
That is why I said you are awesome! When you discover and embrace who you are and what God has deposited inside of you- I believe your thinking will increase and your quality of life will follow. It all begins when you ask the Lord to come into your heart. and pray Romans 10:9-10.
