Make This Your Comeback Year

You crown the year with Your goodness, and your paths drip with abundance.     (Psalms 65:11)

This is my year to see setbacks turn into comebacks!

“Comeback” is actually a single word meaning, “A regaining of success, fame, health, prosperity, recovery, to return to a former good position, high rank, or condition after a loss, the act of making up a deficit as in a contest or game.”

A “Comeback Story” is one in which someone succeeds against impossible odds, often through overcoming a time of struggle. It is the “come from behind” story that has everyone cheering.

It is the person who has failed time and again finally triumphing and attaining the victory and success.

It is the underdog who may have suffered many losses and heartbreaking defeat, who through determination rises above every barrier and obstacle to obtain the prize. It is going from a position of being broken down to a position of breaking through!

Moses was a murderer and a fugitive who became a deliverer and was known as a friend of God.

Joseph was the dreamer, forgotten in prison in a foreign land, who became the prime minister of the greatest empire of the day.

Job lost everything, yet God restored double of ALL that was lost.

Peter denied Christ three times but was used by God to preach to win 3000 souls on the day of Pentecost.

Jesus—the greatest comeback story of them all—was beaten, crucified and killed, yet conquered death, hell and the grave and came back to life and is now seated with honor at the right hand of God! Wow!

Receive the grace of God that will enable you to make every month of this  year part of your comeback year. I will love to hear and read your comeback story.

It’s Time To Remove The Weeds

Jesus said Matthew 15:13 But He answered and said, “Every plant which My heavenly Father has not planted will be uprooted.

How Do We Remove These Weeds. We remove this spiritual weeds by following heeding to the Word of God . By following God’s practical and spiritual instructions.

In a practical sense if you have weeds in your garden some of steps you may have use or will be suggested to use.

How To Remove Weeds From Your Garden

1. Pull The Weeds Out Manually. Weeds can remain dormant for a long time.
James 2:17 Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.

2. Dig them out from root. Jeremiah 1:10 …to root out and to pull down

3. Diligent in the process. Monday: kill weeds. Tuesday; kill weeds.
James 1:25
But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does.

4. Weed when the weeding’s good. Young weeds go down much easier than older weeds.

5. Keep It Hot. Heap will cause the weeds to shrivel in the sun.
Proverbs 26:20 Where there is no wood the fire goes out….Wood represents the Word of God.

6. Chop off the heads of weeds, when you can’t remove the weeds.

7. Mind the gaps between the plants. Tightly planted beds leave no room for unwanted visitors. Close plant spacing choke out emerging weeds between plants.

Ezekiel 22:30 So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it; but I found no one.

8. Drip irrigation – water the plants you want, not the weeds your weeds.
Don’t keep strife, negativity going in your life.
Proverbs 15:1 A soft answer turns away wrath.

Romans 10:9-10

Identify The Weeds

There is something else that is green you may seek to hinder or stop your forward progress, promotion, and being more productive and making a greater impact in the community and even the world. That is weeds. They are also green.

What are weeds? It is a plant that is growing where it is not wanted and is able to overgrow valued plants by overcrowding and depleting soil nutrients and moisture that would otherwise be available to preferred plants.

Weed is a valueless plant growing wild especially one that grows on cultivated ground that is desired for crop.

I discovered there are certain things that a Gardner or farmer need to do in order to obtain their desired fruit or harvest.

Why is important to know this. Because there are certain principle in the natural or physical realm that can be directly used in your spiritual life that can transform your entire life.

I Corinthians 15:46 However, the spiritual is not first, but the natural, and afterward the spiritual.

It very essential that you and I uproot all weeds that seek to choke your great harvest in our life.

Let me identify some spiritual weeds that need to remove from your life- Green

Fear is obstacle to success
Pride, Anger
Low Self Esteem
Poor Self Image

Jesus said Matthew 15:13 But He answered and said, “Every plant which My heavenly Father has not planted will be uprooted.

How Do We Remove These Weeds. We remove this spiritual weeds by following heeding to the Word of God . By following God’s practical and spiritual instructions.

Remove The Weeds Out of Your Spiritual Garden

The ground represents your heart in the scripture.
“The Heart Is The Difference Maker”
Whatever is manifested on the outside of your life – it has a direct relationship with what is going on the inside of your heart.

Proverbs 4:23
Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life. KJV.

Keep and guard your heart with all vigilance and above all that you guard, for out of it flow the springs of life. (Amp. Bible)

The heart is the production….. Your heart is the ground. Whatever seed that can planted in the grown of your heart is what will produce or manifest in your life. The seed is God’s Word. Luke 8:11
It’s not enough to read the Word of God – you have to plant God’s word in your heart to see a change in your life.

Our hearts is the production center. Our heart is the ground or garden.
We need to go to the Word of God and get specific seeds for the things I need.

I must take the responsibility and not wait for somebody else to do what I am required to do. I must plant the seed in the ground of my heart to get my manifestation.

If there is lack of fruit in your life you want to sow a seed.
You have to sow seed in the area you want growth.
God’s system is based on seed time and harvest. Genesis 8:22

I have take responsibility by getting new seed to grow a new image, to grow a new tree, to get new fruit (results).

Matthew 13:23 But he who received seed on the good ground is he who hears the word and understands it, who indeed bears fruit and produces: some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty

If you want to grow yourself, marriage, business, ministry, etc.
We have to expand on the inside so we can expand on the outside.

If you desire a better marriage you have to sow marriage seed.
Things that come on the outside is a result of what is planted on the inside.

Inside of us are trees that has to be uprooted. (Wrong image of self, marriage, life, etc.)

Matthew 15:13
But He answered and said, “Every plant which My heavenly Father has not planted will be uprooted

Set aside time to sit, think, reflect and locate the appropriate seed to sow to grow
so you can expand on the inside and then will expand on the outside.

Things in our life do not get better over time.
Things get better when I know better than I can do better.

Romans 10:9-10

Do You Have Any Zeal In Your Life?
What Are Your Zealous About?
Zeal is defined as passionate ardor in the pursuit of anything. In general, zeal is an eagerness or desire to accomplish or obtain some object, and it may be manifested either in favor or any person or thing.
David a young shepherd boy was zealous about defeating the Giant Goliath. Guess what? He ran towards him and defeated him with his slingshot and stones.
Jesus was zealous about fulfilling his mission in life. In John 2:17 Jesus stated “Zeal for your house has eaten me up.” God is zealous and passionate to save mankind from the wrath to come. God sent his only Son Jesus to die on the cross for our sins so we can have eternal life and abundant life with Jesus Christ.
It is my desire you become if you not already are zealous in your discovery and fulfilling your purpose for existence. Life is a gift from God. You and I were not born to live average lives. We are born to live amazing lives and leave a legacy in the earth. Life is more than just this physical or natural realm of existence. That is one dimensional. We are three dimensional. Mankind is triparte. We are a spirit we have a soul and we live in a body. The Bible states in I Thessalonians 5:23 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
So it is great to be passionate about being physically fit. Eating healthy. Exercising several days a week. Our bodies are the temple of God. (I Corinthians 3:16) We are instructed to Glorify God in our body. (I Corinthians 6:19-20). The scripture also states that Man does look on the outward appearance. I Samuel 16:7.
Bodily exercise does bring us profit. For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come. I Timothy 4:8

You can be the most physically fit person in the universe and in one moment an unexpected crisis can bring a blow that your physical fitness cannot do anything about. God never intended for us to live one dimensional.
Be zealous about your physical life as well as your soulish and spiritual life. Your soul is made up of your mind, will, intellect, and imagination. It is very important to feed your soul the Word of God. To increase your knowledge base so when life’s challenge come we won’t buckle under, quit, and give up. Proverbs 24:10 states If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small. What can cause people to faint in life? Not having adequate or sufficent knowledge in that area of struggle. Proverbs 24:5 stated A wise man is strong; yea, a man of knowledge increaseth strength.
In school if a person only got 30% correct on a exam and the maximum is 100% it’s not that they didn’t know anything. They just did not know enough to pass the exam. Jesus even commanded us to love God not only with our heart but also with all of our soul and mind. Be zealous about expanding your mind and using it to a greater degree than ever before. I see you not being stuck or stranded in any situation. You have the mind of Christ. (Philippians 2:5).
Be zealous about your spiritual life. Natural food is needed for your physical body. Spirit food is needed for your spirit (heart). Jesus said in Matthew 4:4
But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. Feed yourself daily by reading, reflecting, and meditating on the Word of God.
Jesus was the greatest example of three aspects of our wellbeing. Luke 2:40 And the child grew, (physical)and waxed strong in spirit, (inward man) filled with wisdom:(soul) and the grace of God was upon him.
Be zealous in every aspect of your life. Whatever you do, do it heartily as to the Lord, and not unto man. Colossians 3:23

Romans 10:9-10

X Loser

Everyone becomes a X loser when they give their hearts to Jesus Christ. The biggest loser is the enemy. Jesus defeated the enemy at Calvary.
Colossians 2:14-15 Having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. 15 Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it.
When you receive Christ in your life you were translated out of the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of light.
Colossians 1:12-13 Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:
13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:
The Enemy’s Kingdom which is the kingdom of darkness represents defeat, fear, failure, guilt, shame, sickness, disease, hatred, and every evil thing.
Jesus’ Kingdom represents love, life, light, peace, victory, joy, health, wisdom, and every good thing.
So any loses you experienced in the past do not define you. Because that is not who God made you. Simply because the Bible states in I John 5:4 For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.
You become a born winner. There is no failure and no defeat in God. As a matter fact God does not have any fear to give us. There are many scriptures in the Bible that speak of victory.
II Corinthians 2:14 Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place.
Romans 8:37 Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.
With God all things become new. I encourage you to live a winner’s life, by getting a picture(s) of who you desire to become and do in life. Learn the principles of God’s Word to guide you toward your desired result. Practice the principles daily and allow your life to be transformed. That will bring you fulfillment and God honor in your life.
