The 1828 Webster Dictionary Defines the word “diligent” as steady in application to business; constant in effort or exertion to accomplish what is undertaken;
Proverbs 22:29 See thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings;….. (KJV).
Diligence can also be defined as:
Diligence means simply hard and smart work in order to obtain a reward.

Ecclesiastes 10:10 If the ax is dull, And one does not sharpen the edge,
Then he must use more strength; But wisdom brings success.
Diligence is whatever God called you to do, it with all your might.

Ecclesiastes 9:10

Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might; for there is no work or device or knowledge or wisdom in the grave where you are going.
Diligence involves investing your abilities, strengths, and everything you have into the pursuit of your mission.
Diligence is persistence, constant, earnest effort to complete an assignment or task.

Excellence can be defined as attention to detail that gives rise to superior performance that causes promotion in life.

Sow the seed of diligence and you will reap a great harvest. II Corinthians 9:6

Diligence begins with your thoughts but lived out in actions.
Be determined and be diligent in all your undertakings this year.
