Zeal

Do You Have Any Zeal In Your Life?
What Are Your Zealous About?
Zeal is defined as passionate ardor in the pursuit of anything. In general, zeal is an eagerness or desire to accomplish or obtain some object, and it may be manifested either in favor or any person or thing.
David a young shepherd boy was zealous about defeating the Giant Goliath. Guess what? He ran towards him and defeated him with his slingshot and stones.
Jesus was zealous about fulfilling his mission in life. In John 2:17 Jesus stated “Zeal for your house has eaten me up.” God is zealous and passionate to save mankind from the wrath to come. God sent his only Son Jesus to die on the cross for our sins so we can have eternal life and abundant life with Jesus Christ.
It is my desire you become if you not already are zealous in your discovery and fulfilling your purpose for existence. Life is a gift from God. You and I were not born to live average lives. We are born to live amazing lives and leave a legacy in the earth. Life is more than just this physical or natural realm of existence. That is one dimensional. We are three dimensional. Mankind is triparte. We are a spirit we have a soul and we live in a body. The Bible states in I Thessalonians 5:23 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
So it is great to be passionate about being physically fit. Eating healthy. Exercising several days a week. Our bodies are the temple of God. (I Corinthians 3:16) We are instructed to Glorify God in our body. (I Corinthians 6:19-20). The scripture also states that Man does look on the outward appearance. I Samuel 16:7.
Bodily exercise does bring us profit. For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come. I Timothy 4:8

You can be the most physically fit person in the universe and in one moment an unexpected crisis can bring a blow that your physical fitness cannot do anything about. God never intended for us to live one dimensional.
Be zealous about your physical life as well as your soulish and spiritual life. Your soul is made up of your mind, will, intellect, and imagination. It is very important to feed your soul the Word of God. To increase your knowledge base so when life’s challenge come we won’t buckle under, quit, and give up. Proverbs 24:10 states If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small. What can cause people to faint in life? Not having adequate or sufficent knowledge in that area of struggle. Proverbs 24:5 stated A wise man is strong; yea, a man of knowledge increaseth strength.
In school if a person only got 30% correct on a exam and the maximum is 100% it’s not that they didn’t know anything. They just did not know enough to pass the exam. Jesus even commanded us to love God not only with our heart but also with all of our soul and mind. Be zealous about expanding your mind and using it to a greater degree than ever before. I see you not being stuck or stranded in any situation. You have the mind of Christ. (Philippians 2:5).
Be zealous about your spiritual life. Natural food is needed for your physical body. Spirit food is needed for your spirit (heart). Jesus said in Matthew 4:4
But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. Feed yourself daily by reading, reflecting, and meditating on the Word of God.
Jesus was the greatest example of three aspects of our wellbeing. Luke 2:40 And the child grew, (physical)and waxed strong in spirit, (inward man) filled with wisdom:(soul) and the grace of God was upon him.
Be zealous in every aspect of your life. Whatever you do, do it heartily as to the Lord, and not unto man. Colossians 3:23
