Merry Christmas- God’s Gift To You

ecard-camels

Christmas gifts come in all shapes and sizes.—there are gifts to be wrapped, both to give and receive. However, there is no greater gift than the heavenly Father’s, who freely gave His only Son to be born as a baby destined for the Cross and to save us from our sins. He came to give us abundant life and eternal life.

Merry Christmas

Merry- delightful. pleasant, agreeable, jovial, laughter

Why is It Merry? Because of the second word Christmas

Christmas is a time of great joy for celebrating the miraculous birth of our wonderful Savior.

Isaiah 9:6a For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given;

Luke 2:11

For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.

Matthew 1:18-21

Now the birth of Jesus Christ was as follows: After His mother Mary was betrothed to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Spirit. 19 Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not wanting to make her a public example, was minded to put her away secretly.

20 But while he thought about these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take to you Mary your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit.

21 And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.”

 Luke 2:10-14

Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people.

11 For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. 12 And this will be the sign to you: You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger.”

13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying:

14 “Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!”[

Romans 5:7-8                                                                                                                                       “For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die. But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” (Rom. 5:7-8)

God’s Gift to You – His Son Jesus Christ

“Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights…” (James 1:17)

I encourage you to receive God’s love gift for you. Pray this prayer and receive His Son Jesus Christ in your heart:

Heavenly Father, I come to you in the name of your Son, Jesus Christ.

The Word of God says “Whosoever call on the Name of the Lord shall be saved.” (Romans 10:13). I believe that Jesus is the Son of God, and that He died on the Cross for my sins, and that He rose from the dead on the third day.

I ask Jesus right now to come into my heart. I repent of my sins and I surrender myself completely to you. I confess you as my Lord and Savior. Thank you for making me a new person and forgiving me of my sins. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Have a Merry Christ-mas.

Knock Knock Who’s There…

jesusknocking

Knock Knock Who’s There? – Jesus. And you say Jesus?

What are you going you to do when Jesus is knocking on the door of your heart? Are you going to let him in or are you going to close the door and leave him standing on the outside of your heart?

I say respond and let love in your heart. Jesus is love. When you embrace His love your life becomes more beautiful and colorful. Let Him in and start afresh and anew. You will be glad that you did. He can do more for you, through you, and with you, than you living life apart from Him. Because It is written, “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”

When you welcome The Word  you are welcoming Jesus in your heart. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. John 1:1

For this reason we also thank God without ceasing, because when you received the word of God which you heard from us, you welcomed it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which also effectively works in you who believe.                              I Thessalonians. 2:13

Jesus stated in John 10:10,  “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.”

Let Jesus come in every area of your heart so you can experience abundant life.

Romans 10:9-10

Prince of Peace

peace-in-jesus-name_std_t_nv

Do you know the Prince of Peace? There are so many things in a given day that can rob you of your peace. To know there is someone you can go to and can give you reassurance and direction in those moments is priceless. I can think of many times in life where I was feeling edgy, fearful, or uncertain about a particular thing and getting a Word of peace made all the difference.

What is peace? It is freedom from disturbance or agitation; as from fear, terror, anger, anxiety or the like; quietness of mind; calmness; quiet of conscience.
Have you heard people say it is not only what you know but who you know? Well I want to invite you into having close relationship with Jesus because He is the Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6 states For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God,Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

God desires you to walk in abiding peace throughout your entire day. Could you imagine that 24/7 at work, school, home and where ever you go His peace is with you.
If you praying about a particular thing and you are not for sure if you should take action or not, let the peace of Christ become your guide. Let it help settle issues. If you start to take that action and realize you don’t have any peace about it, don’t do it. Your sense of uneasiness can be a warning sign that you need to pay attention to.

Colossians 3:15

And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.

Let the peace of Christ [the inner calm of one who walks daily with Him] be the controlling factor in your hearts [deciding and settling questions that arise]. To this peace indeed you were called as members in one body [of believers]. And be thankful [to God always]. Colossians 3:15 Amplified Bible

If you maintain a thankful and grateful heart you will find it much easier to hear the umpire of peace when He makes that call.

Isaiah 26:3

You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You,
Because he trusts in You.

Psalms 119:165

Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them.

Mary, The Mother of Jesus

32327-virgin-mary-1200_1200w_tn

Mary is known throughout history as the mother of Jesus Christ. In addition to being one of the most revered figures of modern Christianity, there are many lessons from her life that we can apply to guide us in our daily walk with God. By examining these aspects of her life we can come to better understand how God works through everyday people in order to bring his perfect will into the earth.

1. Promise- Mary was given a promise from God for her life. She was told she was highly favored, The Lord is with her and she is blessed among women. Luke 1:26-30
Just like Mary you are blessed and God has given you favor for your life. Genesis 1:28

Psalm 5:12
For You, O LORD, will bless the righteous;
With favor You will surround him as with a shield.

2. Prophetic Word – Mary was given a prophetic Word. She was told not to fear and that she was going to have a Son.
That her son is going to be Jesus and he is going to be great. He shall be called Son of the Highest. He shall be given a throne of his Father David. Luke 1:30-33

The Bible is book of prophesy. It is God’s inspired Word to man. It is God’s love letter for man.

II Peter 1:21 for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.

II Timothy 3:16
All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,

3. Perspective – Mary had a natural response. Then Mary said to the angel, “How can this be, since I do not know a man?” Luke 1:34

The difference maker in Mary is that she was willing to listen and not get stuck in her own thoughts, opinions, and feelings about her situation of how things should be, could be, suppose to be according to her own plan concerning her life.

4. Plan – God had a plan for Mary’s life. And the angel answered and said to her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you; therefore, also, that Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of God. Luke 1:35

The same God that gave the promise and prophetic Word for Mary has a plan for your life. The God given dreams that God has deposited in your heart he desires to birth out of you. As you consult with Him in prayer and with the Word of God. God desires to help you bring those things to pass.

Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.

Psalm 37:23
The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD, And He delights in his way.

5. Power – For with God nothing will be impossible. Luke 1:37
God made his power available for her waiting to release it when she got in agreement through her submission to Him she surrendered from her own efforts.

What God desires to do in your life is based on your capacity to believe.

Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.”
Mark 9:23

6. Permission- God did not override Mary’s will. Then Mary said, “Behold the maidservant of the Lord! Let it be to me according to your word.” And the angel departed from her. Luke 1:38

God needed her permission and participation. What God desires to do through you He needs your permission and participation. Can two walk together except they be agreed. Amos 3:3

Celebrate Christ During The Christmas Season

8xnxgfq

Celebrate – to give praise, to honor, to distinguish, to mention, to commend, to make famous.

We Celebrate Christ Coming To Earth

He Saves Us From Our Sins Matthew 1:21

And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.”

II Corinthians 5:21  Christ became our substitute

For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

We celebrate Christ because He can make our life brand new.

We celebrate Christ knowing that He can take all things and all areas of our life and transform them.

Through the Promises of God’s Word II Cor.1:20, Jer. 29:11,

For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us.

Jeremiah 29:11-12   God has a bright future for you

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. 12 Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you.

Prophetic Word – to foretell or forth tell.  II Peter 1:21

For prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.

Perspective- “view” of something or someone. How you see someone or something will determine how you relate, value, and what you receive or don’t receive from the person or situation.

Power– God made available his power so you can face or address the fear or situation from a different perspective than what you might have done initially. John 1:12

The Words I speak and the actions I take in agreement with my words will rearrange my situation. Ecclesiastes 8:4 where the word of king there is power..

Permission- God is waiting for our response to his Word to us. God needs our permission and participation to work through us.

Isaiah 1:19

If you are willing and obedient, You shall eat the good of the land;

God’s power is released when you act in agreement with His Word.   God desires to do more “Through you”.

Ephesians 3:20

Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,

Philippians 4:13

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

Romans 10:9-10

If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.
